Founded in 2008 as the Alliance of North Westerners in Toronto, CANOWESCA formally adopted its Constitution in February 2009, establishing a strong, apolitical and development-driven foundation. Built on unity, cultural pride, and collective progress, the Association is dedicated to promoting North West heritage while advancing the welfare, integration, and growth of its members across Canada.Over the years, CANOWESCA has transformed vision into impact. A standout achievement is the Ndu Water Project, delivering clean, life-sustaining water and reflecting a deep commitment to people-centered development.At the heart of the Association are its monthly General Assembly meetings, held every second Saturday, where members connect, share ideas, and celebrate culture. Guided by a committed executive team, CANOWESCA manages key initiatives including solidarity funds and a community Njangi that strengthens financial support systems.Through vibrant cultural programs, youth engagement, and its Financial Literacy and Development Forum, CANOWESCA continues to empower individuals and families, creating a thriving community where every generation finds belonging, opportunity, and purpose
